BIM Intern

MURI Construction is seeking a motivated BIM Intern to support our digital design and coordination workflows across three disciplines: MEP & HVAC, Architecture, and Structure. This is a fully remote internship designed for young Nigerian talent who want to grow into full BIM roles within the construction industry.
Internship streams
Select one stream that matches your discipline. You will specialize while staying connected to the other two through coordination.
MEP & HVAC
Modelling mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, ductwork routing, clash detection against structural and architectural models, and MEP coordination workshops.
BIM Architecture
Developing architectural models, generating documentation sets, managing families, and producing 3D visualizations that communicate design intent to clients and site teams.
BIM Structure
Creating structural models in line with Nigerian design practice, detailing reinforcement, coordinating with structural engineers, and running structural clash checks.
What you will do
- Assist in the development and maintenance of federated BIM models across MEP, architectural and structural disciplines.
- Support clash detection and resolution using Navisworks and BIM collaboration tools.
- Produce drawings, schedules and quantity take-offs from coordinated models.
- Participate in virtual coordination meetings with internal teams and external consultants.
- Maintain model standards, naming conventions and shared parameter libraries.
- Document lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement of BIM workflows.
Who we are looking for
- Nigerian resident, able to work remotely across Nigerian business hours.
- A degree or HND in Architecture, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Civil/Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of Autodesk Revit and Navisworks Manage; familiarity with AutoCAD and BIM collaboration platforms (BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud).
- Understanding of Nigerian building codes and construction practice is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- A reliable internet connection and a personal computer capable of running BIM software (all required software licenses will be provided by MURI Construction).
